Wash my hair with Baking Soda???
Don’t mind if I do! 
This whole thing started because my hair has been a frizz-fest nightmare since I moved to Mass. Remember, I lived in the desert for almost 20 years and of course my hair and skin adjusted to that environment. Then I move back east and BAM! I started looking like CarrotTop on steroids! Oh wait…LMAO..
So after a few days of extremely unmanageable hair, I figured I needed a new shampoo. Even my Loreal Eversleek did absolutely nothing.. 
My hair would look all nice after drying and straightening and within 30 mins, my hair started pulling a Medusa do. I am not exaggerating! So after a bit of research, I decide to try Tresemme Climate Control shampoo and conditioner, which worked way better than my Loreal or Redkken, but whenever that humidity came up, my hair would never stay straight no matter what I did to it. I mean seriously it looked a mess, enough for me to be worried about going to job interviews and looking like a lost 80′s groupie!
So off I go on good old google to search for some sort of answer or solution if you will. After an hour or so, I came across something I should have known… Baking Soda. Baking Soda has billions of uses, and yes cleaning your hair and scalp is one of them! What’s funny is I use a tsp of baking soda mixed in to a nickle size amount of shampoo once a week to get rid of residue in my hair(which seems redundant since I am mixing with shampoo, but that’s how I was told by a hairdresser to do it soooo…). But I never ever thought of using it alone. Hell, even the people at Dove say to use it! My first question was “Will it damage my hair?” The answer was very mixed. Everyone’s hair and scalp is different so some people have amazing hair because of it, and others got dried out yukky hair. Though a few people said the drying out is caused by using too much baking soda, it’s still a mixed debate. Unlike other products, it has no harsh chemicals, and the alkali is very weak. hell you can even ingest it for digestive problems(well read the directions on that first Also in the articles (there were a lot trust me!) the also tell you to follow the “shampoo” with an Apple Cider Vinegar rinse/conditioner, which makes sense. Not only will it make sure all the baking soda is completely out of your hair, it also balances the Ph which makes it even more color awesome, shiny, and way manageable! IMPORTNAT!You want 100% Apple Cider Vinegar or the results won’t be that great!Store brands often only have like 3% to 8% actual vinegar, so it’s worth the $$$ to buy like Bragg’s Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, it’ll last you a loooong time just using a tablespoon for the rinse. I got a HUGE bottle at Stop & Shop for $7 and that is going to last me a very long time, you can also buy it at, get this, GNC! Yep it carries Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar!
Okay so Off I go to try it…Per the instructions, I put 1 tablespoon of baking soda in a cup and filled it with water. I poured a little in my hand started massaging into my hair and scalp adding a little at a time cuz I am so not that co-ordinated to try and dump the whole thing on my head! lol I will tell you , as gritty as it feels at first, I could not get over how great my hair felt after really working it through. I can’t describe it, but it was luxurious to me. I never felt my hair feel so think and smooth. Okay so I rinse it out expecting it to totally dry out my hair… Ugh Wrong! my hair was soft with no tangles! Not a dry piece of hair anywhere on my head! And thats saying something for me since I have used pretty much everything under the planet, including Keretise (which is a very pricey smoothing brand which I got a free sample of to try at Sephora).
Okay so now I’m all excited and grab my Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar! I put 1 tablespoon of Bragg’s ACV in a cup and filled it with water, very carefully massaged it through my hair and scalp I let it sit for just a min then rinsed. My hair felt amazing! What was the real amazing thing though, was when I blow dried my hair! I have curly hair which I straighten. For the past 6 months everytime I dry my hair it never straightens! I can’t get rid of waves, it’s won’t flatten out at all….After doing that “No Poo”, When I was done blowing my hair dry….it almost looked like I used my straightener on it!! Now it me that is a huge feat in it’s self!! I only had to use my straightener on my bangs a bit but that’s all! I have never not had to use my straightener EVER! It was smooth, shiny, not greasy or dry. Now the big test for me is too see how long it would stay like that till the humidity took it over… Guess what? It never did! It stayed like that all day! I have to tell you I was absolutely shocked as all hell!
Now not everyone is going to have the same results of course, but this has definitely now become a part of my shower ritual! Also It’s nice to go shampoo free…There’s hardly anything in my hair, productwise, except for a heat protectant when I blow dry But that’s it.
From what I have been reading, it’s a healthy alternative to shampoos and on some of the forums I was checking out, a lot of people were saying how healthy their hair had gotten since using BS & ACV.
So I am going to stick with it for 1 month and see how it goes.

What you see now is not what’s coming to be…
Just wanted to let everyone know that the blog you are looking at now is only a small part of the rest of the website that I am working on. It’s going to take some time but I have lots of stuff in store for this place! Psychic readings are just the tip of the iceberg, I will be having an inspirational advice column to which people can ask me simple (NON PSYCHIC) questions, Inspirational images for everyone to share on FB, a learning section which will have videos of yours truly teaching all sorts of things you can do to make your life a lot brighter, and last but in no way least, I’m going to have a section for humour. I can’t help it if I am the entertaining psychic Laughter can demolish any negative feelings you have, can make a shitty day seem not so serious and dramatic. I’ll be incorporating that heavily in to the site which I think I should have done from the get go.
